Your Role:
As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to support the day-to-day operation of the mixed Aged/Acute ward while providing strong clinical leadership to nursing staff.
You’ll be an important senior presence on the floor, helping ensure workloads are managed effectively, staff feel supported and patients continue to receive safe, high-quality care.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing clinical leadership and support to nursing staff
- Coordinating and prioritising patient care across the ward
- Supporting the NUM with daily ward operations
- Acting as a senior clinical resource for the nursing team
- Supporting and mentoring nurses, graduates and students
- Assisting with staff allocation and workload management
- Recognising and responding to patient deterioration
- Promoting high standards of clinical practice and patient safety
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives




- Contributing to clinical policies, procedures and service development
- Working closely with the multidisciplinary team
- Helping build a positive, collaborative team culture

To be eligible for this position you will have:

- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- A minimum of 1 years experience as an ANUM, Acting ANUM, Team Leader or senior Registered Nurse
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Must have full Australian working rights (i.e., Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship)
