Engineering Trades Australia is seeking an experienced Electrical Nominee to oversee and support an upcoming electrical project involving the upgrade and replacement of an existing Main Distribution Board (MDB) to accommodate new commercial kitchen equipment.

This is a hands-on project role suited to an experienced electrician who has strong knowledge of switchboards, distribution systems, electrical installations and compliance, and is looking to take on the additional responsibility of an Electrical Nominee.

Working closely with the project team, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical scope of works, ensuring all activities are completed safely, compliantly and to the required standard.

The project includes:

- Replacement / upgrade of an existing Main Distribution Board
- Electrical works associated with the installation of new commercial ovens and equipment
- Electrical installation, termination and testing
- Isolation and commissioning of electrical systems
- Reviewing existing electrical infrastructure and documentation
- Identifying and resolving electrical issues throughout the project
- Ensuring works comply with relevant Australian Standards and electrical legislation
- Providing technical oversight and guidance to electrical personnel
- Maintaining a strong focus on electrical safety, quality and compliance





To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:

- Current WA Electrical Licence
- Experience and competency as an Electrical Nominee
- Strong knowledge of WA electrical legislation and compliance requirements
- Previous experience with MDBs, switchboards or electrical distribution systems
- Experience in industrial, commercial or mining environments
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and documentation
- Strong understanding of electrical isolation, testing and commissioning
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to take ownership of the electrical scope from start to completion
- Australian Working Rights
- Current White Card
- Ability to successfully complete relevant medical and drug & alcohol screening
