Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Store Person who wants to take ownership of their stores function and become an integral part of a growing engineering and manufacturing business.

About the Role
This is far more than a traditional Store Person position.
You'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day stores function while also helping improve inventory systems and supporting production across the workshop. You'll work closely with tradespeople, assist with deliveries, maintain stock accuracy, and help keep projects moving.
This role would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Duties:

- Managing inventory, receivals and dispatch
- Maintaining stock accuracy and improving inventory systems
- Supporting workshop trades with materials and components
- Loading, unloading and operating forklifts safely
- Completing local deliveries when required
- Assisting across the workshop, yard and office as needed
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems and workflow

To be successful, you will:





- Have previous experience in a Stores or Warehouse role within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment
- Be highly organised and takes pride in maintaining an efficient stores operation
- Can work independently and confidently manage competing priorities
- Are proactive, solutions-focused and enjoys improving systems
- Work well within a small team where everyone contributes
- Understand the importance of supporting production and meeting deadlines

Essential Requirements

- Current Forklift Licence
- Current Manual Driver's Licence
- Strong computer and inventory management skills
- Ability to work in a physically active environment
