Our client is seeking a trade qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic to join a well-known maintenance contractor based in St Marys, Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a stable Monday to Friday workshop role where you'll enjoy plenty of autonomy, strong earning potential and a pathway into a permanent position.

The Opportunity & Why Apply This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic looking to secure a long-term workshop-based role without shift work or weekend rosters.

Monday to Friday roster (7:00am - 3:00pm)

Earn up to $63.25ph + super on an initial casual contract

Strong chance of a permanent position after 6 months

The Role You'll take ownership of the mechanical maintenance for a fleet of 48 Foton 4.5T delivery trucks operating for a major national customer.

Carry out scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and warranty repairs

Diagnose and repair breakdowns both in the workshop and occasionally in the field

Assist with maintenance on the company's fleet of service vehicles

Work closely with auto electricians and apprentices while managing your own workload

Plan upcoming maintenance and organise required parts independently

Your Skills & Experience We're looking for a self-motivated tradesperson who enjoys working independently and takes pride in quality workmanship.

Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification

Strong experience servicing and repairing light vehicles

Ability to work autonomously and manage your own daily workload

Truck experience not required - full product training provided

Forklift and Dogging tickets advantageous but not essential

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical

Immediate availability highly regarded

Initial 6-month casual contract through Marble

$60.00ph - $63.25ph + Super (depending on experience)

Monday to Friday | 7:00am - 3:00pm

Permanent position likely following successful completion of the casual period
