Assistant Food & Beverage Manager .

Working as 2IC to our Food & Beverage Manager, you will play a key role in leading our front‑of‑house team and delivering an outstanding hospitality experience across member dining, bar service, functions, golf events and special occasions.

Our hospitality team provides a warm, professional and contemporary experience for members and their guests across our clubhouse dining, bar, functions and events.

For the right person, this role offers:

$80,000-$85,000 + super , depending on experience

About the role Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager,



you will help lead the day‑to‑day operation of our front‑of‑house team and ensure our members and guests consistently receive a high standard of service.

Importantly, this is not simply a senior shift supervisor position. We are looking for someone who wants to take ownership, develop people and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our hospitality operation.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading the front‑of‑house team during daily service, functions and events

Acting as the senior hospitality manager on duty when required

Supporting, coaching and developing our food and beverage team

Helping to create a positive, professional and accountable team culture

Maintaining high standards of presentation, service and member experience

Assisting with rostering and ensuring appropriate staffing levels

Coordinating restaurant, bar, function and event service

Supporting staff recruitment, induction and training

Ensuring compliance with RSA, food safety and other relevant requirements

Assisting with stock control and operational administration

Working closely with our kitchen and broader Club teams

Identifying opportunities to continually improve service standards and operating efficiency

About you You may already be working as an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager or Assistant Venue Manager,



or you may be an experienced Restaurant Supervisor, Duty Manager or F&B; Supervisor who is ready to take the next step.

than your current job title.

You will ideally bring:

Strong experience in a quality hospitality environment

Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a front‑of‑house team

A warm, professional and confident communication style

Strong organisation and attention to detail

The ability to remain calm and make good decisions during busy services

Hand‑on approach - you will be comfortable leading from the floor

A willingness to coach and develop less experienced team members

Sound understanding of responsible service and hospitality compliance requirements

Flexibility to work across a roster that includes weekends, some evenings and public holidays

Experience in a quality restaurant, hotel, events venue, private club or similar environment would be highly regarded.

Previous golf club experience is not required.
