About The Role

This role leads the management and assurance of approved vehicle dealerships delivering vehicle registration and transfer services through digital channels, ensuring regulatory, financial and contractual requirements are met. It supports Victoria’s Road Safety Strategy by assuring the safety and compliance of vehicles on Victorian roads.

The role provides strategic leadership of vehicle safety, certification and registration schemes, manages and develops staff, resolves complex operational issues, and drives continuous improvement. It also provides specialist advice, builds strong stakeholder relationships, and uses negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills to achieve business outcomes and regulatory objectives.

Qualifications And Experience

You’ll bring

- List A current Victorian driver licence with no restrictions that would prevent you from performing the requirements of the role and cannot reasonably be accommodated by the Department (mandatory).
- Qualifications or demonstrated experience managing operational teams in a regulated environment (desirable).

Pre-employment checks and employment conditions Relevant pre-employment screening and reference checks will be required. Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
