About The Role

We are looking for a Network Security Engineer to join our Managed Security Engineering team, supporting a portfolio of enterprise customer environments.

This is a hands on engineering role suited to someone with solid network security fundamentals who enjoys troubleshooting, working across live production environments and solving a variety of customer issues.

You will work primarily across Fortinet and Palo Alto technologies, supporting the day to day operation of customer network security environments through BAU activities, incident response, scheduled changes, health checks and ongoing service improvement.

The role would suit someone who already has practical firewall and networking experience and wants to continue building their capability across different enterprise environments while working alongside experienced engineers and technical leads.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Support and maintain customer network security environments across Fortinet and Palo Alto platforms
- Investigate and resolve network connectivity, firewall, VPN and access-related issues
- Troubleshoot problems across routing, switching, NAT, firewall policies and related network services
- Respond to operational incidents, including higher-priority P1/P2 issues where required
- Perform scheduled configuration changes and support customer change requests
- Complete regular environment health checks and identify potential issues before they impact customers
- Analyse alerts and service requests and work through issues to root cause
- Support firewall policy changes, VPN configuration and broader network security administration
- Work with customers and internal technical teams to resolve complex incidents and service issues
- Contribute to service improvement activities and help identify opportunities to make customer environments more stable, secure and efficient




- Maintain clear technical documentation and work within established change and operational processes
- Participate in an after-hours support roster as part of the wider managed services team

Skills & Experience

- Hands-on experience with Fortinet / FortiGate and Palo Alto firewall technologies
- Strong networking fundamentals across TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, NAT and firewall policy
- Experience troubleshooting connectivity and access issues across live production environments
- Experience administering or supporting enterprise firewall environments
- Understanding of network traffic flows and the ability to methodically isolate faults across network and security layers
- Experience working with incidents, service requests and scheduled changes
- Exposure to managed services, MSP/MSSP environments or enterprise infrastructure/security teams
- Good understanding of change management and production risk
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with customers and internal technical teams
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate more complex issues
- A willingness to learn, broaden your technical capability and contribute to continuous service improvement

Experience with FortiManager, Panorama, SD-WAN, high availability, enterprise VPN technologies or network automation** would be advantageous, but is not essential. Advantages of working at Accenture:
