Security Supervisor, Pre-Opening Luxury Hotel The EQ Hotel – Perth, WA The EQ Hotel is seeking a professional and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team ahead of the opening of Perth’s newest luxury hotel.

About the Role

As Security Supervisor, you will support the Security Manager in creating a safe, secure and welcoming environment for guests, visitors and team members across the hotel and associated facilities.

You will supervise Security Officers during your shift, coordinate daily security operations, monitor security systems, respond to incidents and emergencies, and support the hotel team with professionalism and discretion. This is a highly visible, guest-focused role requiring sound judgement, strong leadership and a calm approach under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise, support and guide Security Officers during each shift, ensuring consistent service, presentation and compliance with hotel procedures.

- Build and maintain positive working relationships with guests, team members, contractors and external stakeholders.
- Conduct regular patrols of hotel public areas, back-of-house areas, car parks and surrounding premises.
- Monitor CCTV, alarms, access-control systems and other security systems, escalating concerns to the Security Manager as required.
- Assist with crowd management during group arrivals and departures, events, functions, bars and restaurants.
- Support traffic flow, vehicle access, parking and valet areas as required.
- Check security alarms, emergency equipment and fire-safety equipment, and promptly report any faults.
- Manage access for guests, visitors and contractors in line with hotel procedures.
- Maintain accurate patrol logs, incident reports, handover notes and security records, and provide explicit shift handovers.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies and guest concerns,



including liaising with emergency services where required.
- Assist with incident investigations, evidence gathering and report writing.
- Safeguard hotel property and assets, identify security risks and report operational concerns to the Security Manager.
- Work closely with Front Office, Engineering and operational teams to maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment, while working a rotating 24/7 roster including AM, PM, overnight, weekend and public-holiday shifts.

Skills and Experience

- Previous experience in a Security Officer or Security Supervisor role in a hotel, hospitality environment.

- A current WA Security Officer Licence is essential.
- Current First Aid Certificate is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, support and guide a security team during a shift.
- Strong communication, customer-service and incident-reporting skills.
- Ability to remain calm, alert and professional in challenging situations.
- Sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to manage incidents discreetly.
