The Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community Council (the Council) commenced operations in March 1987 and is currently in its 39th year of operation. The Council provides services to community members in relation to housing, social welfare, education, training and health needs. The Council also conducts other business enterprises for the economic/social benefit of the Community.
The Council currently has an exciting prospect in our Administration Team. We are recruiting and welcoming applications from energetic, highly motivated persons to join our team as a Senior Administrative Bookkeeper.
Position Details:
- Full-time employment – 36.75 hours per week
- AGA Level 5
- Two-year Contract term.
- As a not-for-profit Charitable organisation, salary packaging is available, and you may be eligible for up to $15,900 of your annual salary tax-free.
- Processing Accounts Payable, monitor purchasing system and Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliations and other administrative and bookkeeping processes.
- Assistance with Legislative Reporting requirements.
- Provide payroll support.
- Provide high level of organisational skills including time management and prioritisation. with the ability to coordinate and monitor timeframes ensuring deadlines are met.
- Support trainee roles.
- Provide assistance at WBACC community events, where required.
- Adhere to all WBACC policies and procedures.
About you
- Minimum Certificate IV Business (Administration), or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years' experience in bookkeeping
- 5 years minimum Payroll experience
- High level of experience with MYOB Accounting software
- High level of experience with Microsoft Office 365 and other associated programs
- Senior First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
- Minimum Class C Drivers Licence
- Working with Vulnerable People Check (WWVP)
- National Police Check
- Demonstrated high level of ethical and professional behaviour including collaboration and confidentiality
- High level of organisational skills including time management and prioritisation with the ability to coordinate and monitor timeframes ensuring deadlines are met
