Our Legal & Regulatory team is growing fast, and we’re looking for an Associate or Senior Associate to join our litigation and dispute resolution practice. Whilst the practice is young, the matters are substantial. We’re already running disputes valued in the tens of millions of dollars, and our pipeline is growing fast. If you want to run serious, high-value disputes across a portfolio of high-profile brands, with real ownership and none of the bureaucracy, then read on.

The work you’ll be doing

You’ll work directly alongside our Head of Litigation & Dispute Resolution on complex, high-value disputes across a portfolio of prominent consumer and retail clients. The matters are substantial, the stakes are real and you’ll have genuine ownership from strategy through to resolution:

- High-value commercial litigation involving significant claims where money, control and reputations are on the line, with the autonomy to drive matters and shape strategy rather than just execute it.
- Consumer law and regulatory disputes, including misleading conduct claims, product liability, regulatory enforcement actions and proceedings involving the ACCC and other regulators.
- Pre-litigation strategy and resolution, advising founders and management teams on risk exposure, litigation positioning and early-stage dispute management to contain or resolve disputes before they escalate into costly proceedings.
- Real courtroom exposure, running interlocutory applications, managing contested hearings, briefing counsel and taking the lead on getting matters trial-ready.




- Mentoring and developing junior team members as the practice scales, helping set the standard for how disputes are run at Ranged.

About you

✅ 5-6 years PQE in commercial litigation.

✅ Genuine runs on the board: you’ve had meaningful carriage of litigated matters, drafted court documents, managed discovery, run interlocutory applications, briefed counsel and taken matters through to hearing or resolution. You know what it takes because you’ve done it.

✅ Sharp legal reasoning and commercial instincts: you cut through complexity, identify the pressure points and understand that legal strategy is only as good as the commercial outcome it delivers.

✅ Confident client management: you’re trusted by clients to manage their disputes with minimal hand-holding, and you communicate with clarity and conviction.

✅ Drive, adaptability and a team-first mentality: you’re ambitious, you thrive on variety and pace and you make the people around you better.

Bonus points: Experience in employment law, consumer goods, retail, FMCG or DTC.
