About The Role We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our highly regarded Real Estate Development team, led by Partner Nick Holuigue.

The Real Estate Development practice at Maddocks is the pre-eminent property development practice in Victoria, comprising more than 50 professionals, including six Partners. The team works collaboratively across the firm to provide end-to-end legal advice throughout the property development cycle.

Acting for many of Australia's leading listed and private developers, we advise on all stages of the development process, from acquisition and structuring through to planning, delivery and project completion. Our team is recognised for delivering commercially focused, strategic advice and maintaining a deep understanding of the evolving legal and regulatory landscape affecting the development industry.

As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in leading matters, managing client relationships and mentoring junior lawyers, while working closely with Partners on complex and high-profile development projects across the residential, commercial, retail and industrial sectors. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to business development initiatives, industry engagement and the continued growth of the practice.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Approximately 5-7+ years' PQE in property law, with strong experience in property development matters.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex transactions and providing strategic, commercially focused advice to clients.
- A genuine passion for the property development sector and a strong understanding of the development lifecycle.
- Experience supervising, mentoring and developing junior lawyers.




- Strong client relationship management skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and project management capabilities.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across large, multidisciplinary teams.
