Trades Assistant / Factory Hand

to join our workshop team.

About the Role This is a diverse, hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy manufacturing environment.

Your

main responsibilities will be loading and unloading materials, organising and packing customer orders , while also assisting our team with

laser cutting, CNC bending and general sheet-metal production .

For the right person, we are happy to provide training and develop your skills across our machinery and manufacturing processes.

Key Duties

Loading and unloading sheet metal and other materials

Sorting, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch

Checking parts and quantities against job paperwork

Organising laser-cut components into the correct jobs

Receiving and storing incoming materials

Assisting with loading customer and delivery vehicles





Assisting with the operation of laser cutting machines

Loading and unloading sheets and components from the laser

Assisting with CNC press brake / bending operations

Deburring, linishing and finishing components

Drilling, tapping and saw cutting

Moving materials and jobs throughout the workshop

Assisting tradespeople and machine operators as required

Keeping the workshop clean, organised and safe

What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is:

Reliable, punctual and hardworking

Organised and able to

prioritise customer orders

Careful and accurate when sorting and packing components

Able to follow job sheets and check part quantities

Mechanically minded and interested in machinery

Comfortable using hand and power tools

Comfortable with manual handling and physical workshop duties

Willing to learn and take on additional responsibilities

Safety and quality focused

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Previous experience in

sheet metal, laser cutting, CNC bending, fabrication, manufacturing, engineering or warehousing

would be highly regarded.

A

forklift licence is highly regarded .

What We Offer

$32-$37 per hour + super , depending on experience
