Part Time Registered Nurse – Occupational Health

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join the team at Aviagen in Goulburn in a part time occupational health role, working approximately 20 hours per week.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse who enjoys working with people, health promotion and injury prevention and is looking for a role with more predictable hours and no routine on-call or shift requirements.

About the role

Working alongside the Occupational Health Nurse & Injury Management Specialist and Health & Safety team, you will provide practical occupational health and nursing support to employees across the business.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting health assessments and supporting pre-employment and periodic medical assessments
- Assisting with vision screening, audiometry and spirometry once trained and competent
- Assessing and triaging employees presenting with injury, illness, pain or discomfort
- Supporting injury management and return-to-work activities
- Following up medical appointments, Certificates of Capacity and employee wellbeing
- Assisting with drug and alcohol testing and respirator fit testing
- Supporting workplace health, wellbeing and injury-prevention initiatives
- Providing health education and encouraging early reporting of injuries and health concerns
- Maintaining accurate and confidential clinical records
- Assisting with health and safety administration and workplace activities





The role is designed as a supporting position with an agreed workload of up to 20 hours per week, with weekly priorities, site visits and travel planned within rostered hours. There are no routine on-call duties.

About you

You will be a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and sound clinical assessment and triage skills. Occupational health or industrial workplace experience would be advantageous, but is not essential. Experience in areas such as injury management, return to work, health assessments, rehabilitation or workplace health would also be highly regarded.
