About the Role
n
We are looking for an experienced Upholsterer to join our growing production team.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Upholstering custom sofas, chairs and commercial furniture
n
- Preparing furniture and components for upholstery
n
- Cutting, fitting and securing upholstery materials
n
- Operating staple guns and other hand and power tools
n
- Working from drawings, specifications and reference samples
n
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
n
- Working independently and collaboratively to meet production deadlines
n
- Following workplace safety and manual-handling procedures
n
n
About You
n
The successful applicant will ideally have:
n
n
- Previous upholstery experience or a relevant trade qualification
n
- Experience upholstering and preparing sofas and other furniture
n
- Strong staple-gun skills
n
- Confidence using hand and power tools
n
- Experience in an industrial, furniture-production or manufacturing environment
n
- Knowledge of safe manual-handling practices
n
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in their workmanship
n
- A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude
n
- The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
n
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy production environment
n
n
Hours and Benefits

- Full-time, permanent position
n
- Monday to Thursday, approximately 8:00 am–4:00 pm
n
- Half-day Fridays
n
- Optional Saturday work may be available
n
