Are you looking to continue your Rehabilitation Medicine training in 2027 within a supportive regional health service where you'll receive genuine consultant supervision and broad clinical exposure?

Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) is seeking a Rehabilitation Registrar to join its Medical Services team for the 2027 clinical year.

n

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your rehabilitation medicine skills within a small, experienced and highly supportive team, providing personalised training and exposure to a broad range of rehabilitation presentations.

n

Working under the direction and supervision of a Consultant Rehabilitation Physician, you'll be involved in the assessment, management and ongoing care of patients while developing your clinical, communication and multidisciplinary team skills.

The Opportunity

- Provide high-quality assessment and management of rehabilitation patients
n
- Work closely with an experienced Consultant Rehabilitation Physician
n
- Gain broad exposure to regional rehabilitation medicine
n
- Develop your clinical assessment and management skills
n
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and care planning
n
- Work collaboratively with nursing, allied health and medical teams
n
- Develop leadership and communication skills
n
- Participate in regular education, teaching and professional development
n
- Build experience within a supportive environment suited to advanced training

The Position Would Suit a Doctor Who Is

n

n
- Currently undertaking Advanced Training with the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFRM); or
n
- Planning to commence AFRM Advanced Training upon taking up the position
n

n

Previous Rehabilitation Medicine experience is desirable, although doctors with a strong interest in pursuing rehabilitation training are encouraged to apply.

About You To Be Considered, You Will Have

n

n
- Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery or equivalent
n
- Current General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia
n
- Interest in pursuing a career in Rehabilitation Medicine
n
- Ideally, current enrolment in AFRM Advanced Training, or an intention to commence training
n
- Previous Rehabilitation Medicine experience desirable
n
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
n
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
n
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care
