One of our Federal Government Clients is seeking to engage a Senior Data Scientist – APS6

1. Contract Duration: 04 Years (24 Months initially + 24 Months extension)
2. Work Location: All Sates capital office across Australia
3. Work Arrangement: Min 03 Days a week require to work from state office
4. Eligibility: You must need to have Baseline Security Clearance or above.
5. Tentative Start Date: 1st Jan 2027
6. Working Hours: 8 hours a day/ 40 hours a week

Key duties and responsibilities:

- Experience delivering skilled data science solutions in an operational environment.
- Experience in programming for AI and Machine Learning.
- Experience with SQL, R/Python, and R Shiny Programming.
- Hands on experience with EDW and cloud environments, ideally GCP .
- Excellent at managing diverse stakeholder relationships to advance and achieve business objectives.
- Proficient in statistical analysis.
- Capable of developing innovative data-driven solutions using advanced analytics methologies.
- Proven ability to set priorities, monitor progress and ensure the successful delivery of functions and programs.
- Capable of meeting tight deadlines efficiently.
- Ability to communicate data analysis to non-technical staff and managers.




- Ability to promote data literacy through effective communication of data that is aligned with work processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-funtional teams and engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ideally, have knowledge of the Medicare Benefits Schedule or the Pharmaceutical Benefits Schedule.

Essential Criteria:

- Demonstrated experience with data analytical platforms such as R Shiny, SAS, Power BI, Qlik.
- Demonstrated experience in programming for AI and Machine Learning.
- Demonstrated experience with EDW and cloud environments, ideally GCP .
- Demonstrated experience with SQL, and R or Python for programming.
- Demonstrated experience delivering professional data science solutions in an operational workplace.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within team and across various areas of an organisation, manage diverse stakeholder relationships and communicate data analysis to non-technical stakeholders.
