The Chance An opportunity for an experienced Senior Developer to take technical ownership of complex software solutions within a large Australian Government ICT environment. The role combines hands-on development, systems design, technical leadership and production delivery across modern and mainframe technologies.

What You'll Do

- Lead complex software design, development, prototyping, testing, release and production support activities.
- Provide technical leadership, resolve complex ICT issues and drive high standards for code quality, security and maintainability.
- Assess technical requirements, design options and risks while working with stakeholders to deliver effective software solutions.

What We're Looking For
- Senior software development experience with responsibility across the full development lifecycle and complex systems design.
- Experience working with mainframe technologies; COBOL, Adabas Natural or other mainframe languages are advantageous, with M204 highly desirable.




- Strong object-oriented development skills, including Java and/or C#, plus experience applying development standards, methods and configuration management practices.

Contract: 12 months + up to 24 months extension

Estimated Start: 9 November 2026

Rate: $160+ per hour

Security Clearance: Must hold or be able to obtain a Baseline clearance
