Senior Environmental Advisor

Globe 24-7 is partnering with an established mining operation to appoint an experienced Senior Environmental Advisor to provide senior-level environmental support across a complex operational environment.

This position will suit an experienced environmental skilled who can confidently interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical actions on site. Working closely with operational leaders, contractors and environmental specialists, you’ll play an important role in maintaining compliance while strengthening environmental performance across the operation.

Reporting to the Environment Superintendent, you’ll have broad exposure across monitoring, approvals, statutory reporting, environmental risk and regulatory engagement, with the autonomy to identify issues and help drive practical improvements.

The role

You’ll be responsible for

- Providing senior environmental advice across site activities and operational teams
- Interpreting environmental legislation, approvals, licences and associated conditions
- Coordinating environmental monitoring programs, including groundwater requirements
- Managing sampling, analysis and environmental data to support compliance obligations
- Preparing statutory reports and maintaining required environmental documentation
- Tracking commitments associated with approvals, tenements, licences and closure requirements
- Investigating environmental incidents and coordinating appropriate corrective actions
- Supporting regulatory inspections, external audits and compliance assurance activities
- Engaging with regulators and key internal stakeholders on environmental matters
- Maintaining and improving environmental management systems
- Identifying environmental risks and supporting practical controls across the operation
- Contributing to initiatives that improve environmental performance and compliance





About you We’re looking for a senior environmental professional who combines strong technical knowledge with the confidence to engage effectively across an operational mining environment. You’ll ideally bring:

- At least seven years of relevant environmental experience, preferably within mining or resources
- A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or another relevant environmental discipline
- Strong practical experience with environmental monitoring in an operational setting
- A sound understanding of mining-related environmental impacts, risks and controls
- Demonstrated knowledge of environmental legislation and regulatory compliance
- Experience interpreting and managing environmental approvals, licences and conditions
- Exposure to statutory reporting, regulatory audits and compliance processes
- Strong environmental management systems knowledge
- Well-developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- The ability to communicate effectively with operational teams, contractors and regulators
- A proactive approach to identifying risk, solving problems and improving environmental outcomes
- A current C Class Driver’s Licence, with Senior First Aid viewed favourably

The position is FIFO from Perth on a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off roster, providing an attractive balance between site exposure and time at home.
