The Role

This is a key site leadership position supporting the delivery of major residential and mixed-use developments across Sydney.

Working closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Site Managers and senior operational leaders, you will act as a trusted advisor, partnering with project teams to drive safety performance, strengthen leadership capability, and embed a proactive safety culture across our projects.

You will be highly visible on site, influencing decisions in real time and helping ensure safety remains a core part of how we plan, lead and deliver work.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide strategic and operational WHS leadership across major construction projects.
- Partner with Project Managers and Construction Managers to drive safety performance and accountability.
- Influence project planning and delivery decisions through proactive risk management and practical safety solutions.
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and effective corrective actions.
- Analyse safety performance data and trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Lead site audits, inspections,



and assurance activities across multiple work fronts.
- Coach and mentor supervisors, subcontractors, and project teams to strengthen safety leadership capability.
- Deliver engaging safety initiatives, training programs, and behavioural safety interventions.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of WHSE systems, standards, and business-wide improvement initiatives.
- Promote a culture where safety, quality, and operational excellence are embedded in everyday decision-making.

About You

- 5+ years' experience in a construction WHS/WHSE role, preferably on large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
- Demonstrated success influencing safety outcomes on complex projects valued at $100M+.
- Strong understanding of NSW WHS legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and senior leadership.
- Experience leading investigations, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
- ICAM investigation experience highly regarded.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and a genuine passion for creating safer workplaces.
