The Role As our Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for building and growing CMS Capital's referral network across Melbourne,



developing strong relationships with professionals who can introduce quality lending opportunities to the business.

Your focus will be on identifying new partnership opportunities, building trusted long-term relationships, and turning those relationships into a consistent pipeline of referrals across residential, commercial and business lending.

This is a relationship-focused business development role - not a loan-writing position. Our brokers and credit team will manage the lending process, allowing you to focus on what you do best: building relationships, creating opportunities and growing the CMS Capital network.

Core Responsibilities Include:

Identifying and developing new referral partnerships across metropolitan Melbourne

Building relationships with accountants, financial planners, buyer's advocates, solicitors, conveyancers, real estate agents, developers and other professional partners

Generating new partnership opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, LinkedIn, existing relationships and face-to-face meetings

Presenting CMS Capital's lending capabilities and demonstrating how we can support partners and their clients

Building and maintaining robust relationships with existing referral partners

Generating quality referrals across residential, commercial, business and asset finance

Working closely with our brokers to ensure referred clients receive a high level of service

Keeping referral partners informed and engaged throughout the client journey

Managing your own pipeline of prospective and active referral partners

About You You'll have experience in business development, partnerships,



relationship management or consultative sales and be confident building relationships with professionals and business owners.

You're proactive, commercially minded and comfortable creating opportunities rather than waiting for them to come to you. Most importantly, you understand that strong referral partnerships are built on trust, consistency and delivering value over the long term.

You'll also bring:

Strong relationship-building and networking skills

Confidence communicating and presenting to professionals and business owners

A proactive, self-motivated approach to business development

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organisation, follow-up and pipeline management

The ability to work autonomously and manage your own schedule

Resilience and confidence working within a results-driven sales environment

A current Victorian driver's licence and reliable vehicle

Full Australian working rights

An active ABN or the ability to obtain one

Experience within mortgage broking, banking, lending, property or financial services would be highly regarded, but isn't essential.

We're equally interested in proven relationship builders from industries such as recruitment, insurance, legal services, skilled services or property who know how to develop a network and turn relationships into genuine commercial opportunities.
