The Company
A busy, high-volume café with a strong local following is looking for an Operations Manager to take the reins. With 10–15 staff and a rapid-paced 7-day operation, you’ll have genuine ownership of the business - from leading the team and managing performance to improving systems, driving sales and keeping the operation running smoothly. The owner has multiple businesses and is looking for someone they can trust to run this one with real autonomy. The Role
You'll be responsible for the overall operation of the café, from people and rosters through to wages, stock, sales and customer experience. You'll be expected to think commercially, solve problems and continuously look for ways to improve the business. The expectation isn't that you're physically there every minute of the day - it's that the operation is running smoothly, the team is performing and the business continues to move forward.

Your responsibilities

- Lead and manage a team of 10–15 staff
- Build and manage effective weekly rosters
- Train, develop and mentor junior team members
- Manage wages, labour efficiency and staffing levels
- Drive sales and identify opportunities for growth
- Review product range and product mix
- Manage stock, ordering and day-to-day operations
- Maintain strong operational and customer service standards
- Monitor business performance and implement improvements
- Create a positive, energetic team culture

About You




We're looking for someone who knows hospitality inside and out and is ready to take the next step into a genuine business ownership-style role. You'll ideally have:

- Significant café, hospitality or food & beverage management experience
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of café profitability
- Experience managing rosters, wages and labour costs
- A strong understanding of sales and product mix
- The ability to train and develop junior staff
- A hands-on, accountable approach
- The maturity and reliability to be trusted to run the operation independently
- A genuine desire to improve and grow a business

The Business
The Business is a busy drive-thru café operating 7 days a week, 5am–4pm. You’ll be managing a young, energetic team in a fast-paced environment where no two days are exactly the same. Hours can be flexible around the needs of the business. This is about managing outcomes, not clocking in and out - if the team is performing, the operation is running well and the business is improving, you've done your job.
