About the Role

WISE PEARL PTY LTD is seeking an experienced and capable Retail Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of its retail business in QLD 4314.

The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing retail operations, stock and purchasing, staff supervision, customer service, sales performance and general operational administration. This is a hands-on management position requiring strong organisational, leadership and commercial skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Plan, organise and manage the day-to-day operations of the retail business.
- Determine appropriate product mix, stock levels and customer service standards.
- Manage purchasing requirements and liaise with suppliers regarding stock, pricing and supply arrangements.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain effective stock control procedures.
- Review product pricing and assist in developing and implementing sales, marketing and promotional activities.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, sales and financial transactions.
- Prepare and monitor operational budgets and review sales, expenses and overall business performance.
- Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate retail staff and allocate duties according to operational requirements.
- Establish and maintain high standards of customer service and resolve customer enquiries and complaints.




- Assist with the sale of goods and provide customers with appropriate product and service information where required.
- Monitor merchandising, product presentation and the overall appearance of the retail premises.
- Implement and maintain workplace policies and procedures, including compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Report to management on sales performance, staffing, stock, expenditure and other operational matters.

Essential Skills and Experience

- Bachelors degree or higher in related field
- Minimum one year of relevant experience
- Experience managing or supervising retail operations.
- Sound knowledge of stock control, purchasing, pricing and inventory management.
- Experience supervising and training staff.
- Ability to monitor sales, expenses and business performance.
- Strong customer service, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Good organisational and leadership abilities.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
