Job Description

The Storeman is responsible for managing inventory and ensuring efficient operations within the warehouse. This includes the receipt, storage, organisation, and dispatch of goods, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring accurate documentation of all transactions. The Storeman plays a key role in supporting the logistics and supply chain functions, contributing to smooth warehouse operations and timely order fulfillment.

Key responsibilities

n

Respond to customer requests for parts or information with speed of acknowledgement and reply, acknowledging urgent requests within 1-2 hours maximum and all other requests on the same business day

n

Maintain Fuelco's ERP inventory management system to a high standard, ensuring all parts are accurately tracked, properly stored, and readily available for customer orders

n

Inspect inwards goods to ensure they meet quality and quantity requirements, investigating and advising management or suppliers within 24 hours

n

Ensure correct labelling and identification of items for easy access and inventory tracking

n

Organise and maintain stock levels in the warehouse, ensuring optimal storage conditions for products

n

Conduct regular stock checks and assist with stocktaking procedures

n

Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch to customers or internal departments with accuracy and timeliness

n

Raise and issue invoices and delivery dockets for delivery to customers with speed and accuracy

n





Coordinate with delivery drivers to ensure smooth delivery and receipt of goods

n

Load and unload goods safely using appropriate handling equipment

n

Maintain a clean, protected, and organised warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations

n

Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including goods receipts, dispatch notes, and inventory records

n

Report any discrepancies, damages, or stock issues to management immediately

n

Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and according to company and WorkSafe guidelines

n

Actively participate in safety training and maintain awareness of best practices to prevent workplace accidents

n

About you

n

Ability to meet physical job demands including lifting materials and containers

n

Forklift license LF with minimum 2 years' experience

n

Strong OH&SE; orientation

n

High attention to detail and quality focus

n

Solid computer literacy and data entry skills, proficient with current Microsoft Office

n

Basic Microsoft Excel skills

n

Strong verbal and written communication ability

n

High ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and organize time

n
