Retail POS / Field Services Technician - Installation & Break Fix Support Locations Melbourne, Sydney, ACT, Perth

Employment Type On Demand Project and ticketed support basis, part time casual with options for ongoing employment.

We are seeking experienced Retail POS Technicians to support major retail customers across Sydney and Melbourne This is an exciting opportunity for hands-on technicians who enjoy combining field service, hardware installations, troubleshooting, and customer-facing technical support.

Working on project-based deployments and ticket-driven break-fix activities, you will play a key role in installing, maintaining, and supporting Point of Sale (POS) environments across a variety of retail sites.

Key Responsibilities

Installation, configuration and deployment of POS hardware and software

Break-fix support for retail store technology and peripherals

Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network-related issues

Support POS terminals, scanners, receipt printers, EFTPOS devices and back-office systems

Complete site upgrades, refresh projects and technology rollouts

Manage service tickets and ensure SLAs are achieved

Provide onsite technical support and training where required

Document completed work and maintain accurate service records

Work independently across multiple customer locations

Skills & Experience

Previous experience supporting retail technology environments





Hands-on experience with POS systems and peripheral devices

Robust troubleshooting and fault-finding skills

Experience with Windows operating systems and basic networking

Knowledge of retail infrastructure, store systems and payment devices

Experience working in a field service or customer-facing role

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Full driver's licence and willingness to travel locally

Experience with the following

NCR POS

Oracle Retail / Micros

EFTPOS and payment terminal support

Retail store technology rollouts and refresh projects

ServiceNow, Jira or ticketing systems
