Our EVP (employee value proposition) is outlined below: About the Branch The Health Branch shadows and supports the work of the Department of Health (DH) and the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA) Health. This is an exciting opportunity to work on reforms to improve the health and wellbeing of all Victorians and delivery of a health system that leads to better health outcomes. The Branch provides high-quality, strategic analysis and advice on a range of policy issues related to the DH portfolios to support the Premier and Cabinet.

The Branch also contributes to the development and delivery of key policies and priority projects from a whole-of-government perspective across hospitals and health services, primary and community health, health infrastructure, public health, mental health, alcohol and other drugs, ambulance services, ageing and aged care.

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and highly capable policy professional with solid judgement,



a sound understanding of government processes and the ability to thrive in a complex, sensitive and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional policy, analytical and communication skills, coupled with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and work effectively across government.

As part of a high-performing and supportive team, you will:

- review complex policy proposals and undertake strategic policy analysis
- assess the impact of government decisions and provide advice on opportunities to advance Government priorities
- develop high-quality briefings, submissions, correspondence and other advice products to inform decision-making
- manage sensitive issues with discretion and sound judgement
- build relationships with, negotiate and influence senior stakeholders across DPC and government
- provide accurate, high-quality advice, often within tight timeframes.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to major health policy, health service delivery and reform initiatives that improve outcomes for Victorians, while working closely with senior decision-makers across government.
