Are you an experienced Podiatrist looking to make a meaningful impact in a specialised clinical setting? Join Nepean Hospital as a Senior Podiatrist and play a key role in delivering high-quality care to patients of the High Risk Foot Service.

In this role, you will provide specialised podiatry services to patients of Nepean Hospital. You will contribute to outpatient, inpatient and outreach services through Mootang Tarimi and Greater Western Aboriginal Health Services, delivering care in a culturally safe environment. The position also offers opportunities to participate in quality improvement initiatives that support service excellence and patient outcomes.

What you will bring to the role

1. Current registration as a Podiatrist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent (an applicant's race is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised by Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977, NSW).
2. Extensive postgraduate experience in podiatry and working in multidisciplinary teams.
3. Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills, including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout all organisational levels
4. Ability to provide in depth advice and education to enhance high risk foot service delivery in healthcare settings
5. Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
6. Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share QI initiatives and service evaluation processes as part of a team
7. Demonstrated student supervision and staff training skills
8. Demonstrated ability to work as a sole practitioner with advanced reasoning skills and ability to be able to operate autonomously with minimum direct clinical supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to complete timely documentation.
