Due to our constant growth, we are looking for a Senior process Engineer with a strong experience in pharma sector to support our projects in Melbourne, Australia.
You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Overseeing the maintenance, operation, and reliability of pharmaceutical cGMP utility systems, including cleanroom HVAC, Purified Water, WFI (Water for Injection), pure steam, and critical gas systems in TGA/FDA regulated environments.
- Working independently with minimal supervision to achieve operational objectives that directly drive departmental success.
- Providing formal leadership and day-to-day supervisory direction for support staff and trade contractors.
- Applying advanced diagnostic methods, reliability engineering principles, and logical/analytical frameworks to resolve complex plant and operational issues.
- Ensuring strict alignment with internal guidelines, EHS (Occupational Health, Safety & Environment) regulations, and industry standards, while driving waste and energy reduction initiatives.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or related discipline) from a recognized tertiary institution, with eligibility for professional membership with Engineers Australia.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical cGMP utility plant operations and maintenance,
with a solid functional grasp of TGA/FDA regulatory standards.
- Proven track record of managing tasks independently, solving multi-faceted operational problems, and supervising trade staff or support employees.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong personal organization, and an uncompromised commitment to occupational health, safety, and environmental standards.
Nice to have:
- Experience with automated process control systems (specifically ABB MOD300 and Siemens PCS 7).
- Hands-on familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Knowledge of mass/energy balance modeling to support sustainability and energy reduction programs.
