Senior Salesforce Developer

- Location: Canberra ACT
- Contract: 12 months + extensions
- Rate: $100 - $120, negotiable

Canberra Consulting is seeking experienced Senior Salesforce Developers to support the delivery and ongoing support of enterprise Salesforce solutions. Working in the Commercial Application Delivery Section within the Business Solutions Branch, working across critical systems supporting areas including Crisis and Consular Services, Scholarships and Aid, Trade and other departmental functions.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Analysing business requirements for system changes and enhancements
- Working with Solution Leads to develop appropriate solution designs
- Designing, building and delivering enterprise-level integrated Salesforce solutions
- Configuring custom Objects, Flows, Permission Sets, sharing rules and related Salesforce settings
- Developing solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, OmniStudio, Aura, JavaScript, CSS and HTML
- Maximising the use of Salesforce out-of-the-box functionality before customising with code
- Working with Business Analysts to ensure releases meet requirements and acceptance criteria
- Supporting testing and quality assurance activities
- Working with Release Managers to deploy releases through DevOps pipelines




- Troubleshooting development and configuration issues
- Producing solution designs, technical documentation and supporting artefacts
- Applying Salesforce development standards and best practices

Essential experience You will need a minimum of 3+ years' commercial Salesforce development experience, together with strong experience across:

- Enterprise-level Salesforce solution design and delivery
- Salesforce configuration and administration
- Custom Objects
- Salesforce Flows
- Permission Sets and sharing
- Apex
- Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- OmniStudio
- Aura
- JavaScript, CSS and HTML
- Salesforce Public Sector Solutions
- Experience Cloud
- Version control
- Advanced CI/CD and DevOps tooling
- Salesforce development best practices
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting configuration and development issues

Mandatory certificationsApplicants must hold:

- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
- Salesforce OmniStudio Developer or OmniStudio Consultant
