Primary objective

As part of the school leadership team, lead teams in the planning, development, and delivery of programs to achieve educational outcomes for students across the school.

Larrakeyah Primary is an Independent Public School (IPS), catering for approximately 540 students from Preschool to Year 6. Key duties and responsibilities

1. Oversee and model the development, implementation of effective education programs to meet the needs of primary students and

promote a positive school climate through the demonstration of effective leadership.
1. Lead in the implementation and review of school policy, procedures, and the School Improvement Plan to achieve educational

outcomes with an creative approach.
1. Provide advice, though ongoing monitoring and reporting, to the principal, on educational and administrative matters in order to

achieve educational outcomes.
1. Undertake an appropriate teaching load.

Essential

1. Proven ability to effectively lead and participate in Early Childhood teams to innovatively achieve outcomes for students across the

school.
1. Demonstrated successful experience in the coordination and effective delivery of Early Childhood programs as well as whole school

programs and events.
1. Proven ability to participate in, implement and drive the development of policy and the school’s Annual School Improvement Plan with

a focus on Early Childhood.
1. Demonstrated successful application of wellbeing strategies, effective leadership, interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution

skills with staff, parents, and students to promote a positive school community.
1. Demonstrated knowledge of Preschool curriculum and national quality standards.
2. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultures.
