With robust relationships across customers, construction contractors and electricity distributors, we have built a strong reputation as a market leader in the ASP Level 3 space.

n

Due to continued growth, we're looking for an Electrical Drafter to join our team on a casual basis, approximately 24 hours per week, subject to workload and project requirements.

n

This role would suit someone with strong AutoCAD skills who is looking to build their career in engineering and infrastructure design.

n

You don't need extensive industry or electrical experience. We're primarily looking for someone with excellent drafting ability, attention to detail, technical aptitude and a willingness to learn.

The Role

n

Working alongside our engineers and designers, you'll produce accurate drawings and documentation across a diverse range of electrical infrastructure projects.

n

You'll:

n

n
- Produce detailed electrical drawings using AutoCAD
n
- Prepare and update drawings from engineering designs, sketches and site information
n
- Work with engineers and designers to develop practical drawing solutions
n
- Interpret plans, specifications and technical information
n
- Prepare plans, layouts, schematics and construction documentation
n
- Maintain drawing standards, templates and document control
n




- Incorporate site information and measurements into drawings where required
n
- Manage multiple projects and meet agreed deadlines
n
- Develop your understanding of electrical infrastructure and network design
n

The Projects

n

You'll have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across NSW, including:

n

n
- Asset relocation and network augmentation
n
- Substations and electrical infrastructure
n
- Residential and industrial developments, including 1,000+ lots
n
- Overhead and underground electrical distribution networks
n
- Projects ranging from 415V to 132kV
n

n

You'll work closely with experienced engineers and designers, gaining practical exposure to electrical design and infrastructure projects.

n

What We're Looking For

n

Strong AutoCAD skills are the key requirement.

n

We're interested in people who may have a drafting qualification, recently completed their studies, have practical AutoCAD experience, or are currently studying electrical engineering and looking to gain practical industry experience.

n

Undergraduate electrical engineering students would be well suited to this role, particularly those with good AutoCAD skills and an interest in electrical infrastructure and design.

You'll ideally have:

- A good understanding of technical drawing and drafting principles
n
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work
n
- The ability to interpret drawings, plans and technical information
n
- A willingness to learn and develop your electrical knowledge
n
- Good organisation and time-management skills
n
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
n

n

Experience with Revit, electrical drafting, utilities, infrastructure, construction or ASP3 projects would be advantageous, but is not essential.

n

No electrical or ASP3 experience? That's okay. If you're excellent at AutoCAD, have a strong eye for detail and are keen to learn, we'd still like to hear from you.
