The Logan & Albert Hotel is a beautiful country pub with a 4.6‑star Google rating, and we’re looking for an experienced Chef & Cook to join our kitchen team.
You’ll work in a modern, well‑equipped kitchen alongside a passionate team that takes pride in serving consistently delicious food. We work hard, support one another and still enjoy a laugh along the way!
What you’ll be doing
Preparing, cooking and presenting quality pub meals
Working across the larder, pans and preparation sections
Setting up your section and making sure it’s ready before service
Keeping up with orders during busy lunch and dinner services
Following recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards
Making sure meals are consistent and leave the kitchen on time
Checking food quality, freshness and stock levels
Rotating and storing stock correctly to reduce waste
Following food safety, hygiene and cleaning requirements
Keeping your work area clean, tidy and organised
Helping with deliveries, stocktakes and kitchen preparation when needed
Communicating clearly with the kitchen and front‑of‑house teams
Supporting junior team members and lending a hand where needed
Helping create a calm, friendly and respectful kitchen environment
What we’re looking for
At least two years’ experience in a similar kitchen role
Experience working with larder, pans and food preparation
The ability to work confidently during busy services
Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene
A solid work ethic and a calm, reliable approach
Someone who turns up on time and works well as part of a team.
