Produce Manager

to lead our fresh produce department and deliver a first-class shopping experience for our customers.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated retail leader who is passionate about fresh food, enjoys developing people, and takes pride in creating an attractive, high-performing department.

Lead our Fresh Produce Team About the role As Produce Manager, you will take ownership of the department and be responsible for:

Leading, coaching and developing a team of produce assistants

Delivering an exceptional fresh produce offer through quality, availability and presentation

Managing stock ordering, inventory control and daily replenishment

Minimising shrink through effective stock rotation, quality control and waste management

Creating attractive displays that drive sales and maximise customer engagement

Monitoring department sales, margins and profitability targets

Managing labour costs, rosters and team productivity

Ensuring high standards of cleanliness, food safety and workplace safety

Building a department culture focused on customer service, freshness and results





What we're looking for

Previous experience in produce, fresh food retail, grocery or department management

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Excellent communication and customer service abilities

Experience managing ordering, stock levels, shrink and department performance

Sound understanding of produce quality standards and stock rotation principles

A hands-on approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment

Robust organisational and time management skills What we offer

Full-time permanent role (38 hours per week)

Attractive salary package of $70,000 - $80,000 + Super. Based on level of experience
