Heavy Vehicle & Trailer Mechanics – Rocklea

n

We are a well-established heavy vehicle mechanical workshop based in Rocklea, with more than 40 years of combined transport and heavy vehicle mechanical experience across our team.

n

Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Diesel Fitters, Trailer Mechanics and Truck Wheel Alignment Technicians to join our workshop team.

n

About the Role

n

This is a hands‐on position working on a large variety of new and older vehicles, including fleet trucks, prime movers, trailers and light vehicles.

n

Our workshop services a wide range of transport and heavy vehicle equipment, including:

n

- Truck and trailer wheel alignments
n
- Servicing and general maintenance of heavy vehicles
n
- Prime movers and light to heavy trucks
n
- Heavy vehicle trailers
n
- Diagnostic procedures and fault finding
n
- Engine repairs and mechanical repairs
n
- Steering and suspension components
n
- Preventative maintenance
n
- Mobile and on‐site repairs
n
- General repairs and servicing
n

About You

n

The successful applicant will ideally have experience as a:

n

n
- Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
n
- Diesel Fitter
n
- Trailer Mechanic
n
- Truck Wheel Alignment Technician
n

n

We are looking for someone who has:

n

n
- A Trade Certificate in Heavy Diesel Mechanical,



Automotive or Trailer Mechanics — preferred but not essential
n
- 3+ years' relevant industry experience
n
- Experience with general repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance
n
- Experience working on prime movers, heavy vehicle trailers and light vehicles
n
- Strong diagnostic and fault‐finding skills
n
- A practical, hands‐on approach to mechanical work
n
- Excellent work ethic and communication skills
n
- The ability to work independently and manage tasks autonomously
n
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
n
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
n
- Current Truck Licence — preferred but not essential
n
- Current Driver Licence — preferred
n
- Current and relevant qualifications, licenses, tickets and certificates are encouraged to be submitted with your application
n
- Must be currently based in Queensland
n
- Must have full rights to work in Australia
n
