This is a hands-on position suited to a skilled Watchmaker who is comfortable working across a broad range of quality Swiss mechanical watches and can manage repairs from initial assessment through to completion. You will join a professional and well-equipped workshop with a solid and consistent volume of service and repair work. Key responsibilities

Assessment and diagnosis of mechanical watches Servicing, repairing and overhauling Swiss mechanical movements Disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, assembly and regulation Testing completed watches for accuracy, performance and reliability Preparing repair estimates and quotations Identifying, sourcing and ordering required parts Recording work performed and maintaining accurate service records Updating repair and job information using computer-based systems Managing your workload and completing repairs within reasonable timeframes Maintaining a clean, organised and professional workshop environment About you





At least 5 years of professional watchmaking experience Recognised watchmaking qualifications or formal industry training Strong experience with Swiss mechanical watches Sound knowledge of automatic, manual-wind and complicated movements Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding ability Experience with professional watchmaking tools and testing equipment Experience preparing quotations and ordering parts Good computer skills and the ability to confidently use workshop, inventory and general business systems Strong organisational skills A high level of accuracy and attention to detail Competitive remuneration based on experience and qualifications Sydney CBD location Professional and well-equipped working workplace Strong and varied flow of high-quality repair work Opportunities for further technical training and development Visa sponsorship for suitably qualified international candidates
