You will join a mining operation in NQLD as a Mining Engineer, providing technical expertise across mine planning, mine design and operational activities. You will develop short, medium and long-term mine plans while supporting the delivery of safe, efficient and productive mining operations.

You will provide technical input into pit design, waste dump planning, infrastructure and mining methods, while identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance, resource recovery and operational efficiency. You will also monitor mining costs, support budgeting and cost control, and manage mining and ore haulage contracts to help achieve production targets.

This is an 8/6 roster prospect based in NQLD, with FIFO from Brisbane or DIDO from Townsville. You will work closely with operational and technical teams to support safe and effective mine execution while maintaining high standards across all engineering and mining activities.

Key Responsibilities

Develop short, medium and long-term mine plans

Provide technical input into mine design and waste dump planning

Optimise pit designs for resource recovery and operational efficiency

Review mining methods and equipment to identify improvements





Monitor mining costs and support budgeting and cost control

Manage mining and ore haulage contracts

Support production targets through effective mine planning

Provide engineering and technical support to mining operations

Maintain and support mine safety standards across all activities

About you

Bachelor's degree in mining engineering

Proven experience in open pit mining operations

Strong capability across mine planning and mining engineering

Experience with Deswik and Surpac is highly regarded

Strong commitment to Occupational Health and Safety standards

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to collaborate effectively with operational and technical teams
