casual position
that offers flexibility whilst being part of a dynamic hospitality environment. As a Cafe Allrounder, you will be the backbone of our cafe operations, supporting all areas of service delivery and ensuring our customers receive an exceptional experience every visit. This role is integral to maintaining the high standards and welcoming atmosphere our customers expect from us.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers in a prompt and professional manner
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process payments accurately
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the cafe, including tables, counters and kitchen areas
Take and fulfil customer orders, responding to special requests and dietary requirements
Assist with food preparation, including assembling orders and plating dishes
Stock shelves and replenish supplies as needed throughout your shift
Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive customer service
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods
Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
What we’re looking for
Previous experience working in a cafe, restaurant or hospitality environment (preferred but not essential)
Strong customer service skills with a genuine desire to create positive interactions
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
Basic food handling knowledge and understanding of hygiene and safety practices
Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Current or willingness to obtain a Food Handling Certificate (required by state regulations)
