Insight Underground Utility Detection is looking for an experienced Service Locator to join our growing team.

We’re a close-knit Victorian business working across a mix of projects, from local trades and councils through to civil and infrastructure works.

The role You’ll be carrying out underground service locating across Melbourne and surrounding areas.

Your day-to-day work will include:

- Locating and marking underground services
- Reviewing DBYD plans and site information
- Using EMF and GPR equipment
- Recording accurate field information
- Working in line with AS5488 requirements
- Liaising with clients, supervisors and project teams
- Completing clear site documentation and reporting
- Looking after your equipment and vehicle and working safely on site

What we are looking for We’re looking for someone who already knows the industry and can confidently work independently in the field.Our work takes us across Melbourne and regional Victoria so you will need to be comfortable with travel when required.

Ideally, you’ll have:





- Previous experience as a Service Locator
- CertLoc certification
- Experience using EMF and GPR
- A solid understanding of AS5488
- The ability to read plans and drawings
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and client-facing skills
- White Card and relevant tickets
- A robust approach to safety and quality
