Direct Hire is a well-known family-owned business operating over 37 years that provides equipment hire solutions to the building and constructions industry, with multiple branches strategically located to support the South-East QLD region.

The opportunity

We have an prospect for either a Qualified Small Engine Mechanic / Mechanical Trade Assist / or Service-Person (a non-qualified but mechanically minded individual) to service, repair and coordinate small plant and equipment maintenance at our Sumner workshop. The role will work with a large range of equipment covering: from portable toilets, chainsaws, whipper snippers, excavators, scissor lifts, to boom lifts, cherry pickers, mini loaders, quick cut saws, plate compactors, trailers, vacuum pumps, a range of different size motors, generators and much, much more.





You will form part of a growing team who will support you with ongoing training with an opportunity for career development, whilst enjoying a secure place to work.

About You

You will be in charge of representing and showcasing Direct Hire's excellent service and equipment quality, expert advice, whilst maintaining high standards of equipment quality through servicing, a positive attitude and a safety conscious approach to your everyday tasks. To be successful for this position, the following qualifications are preferable:

- Mechanical trade (Small engine desirable but not essential)
- Forklift license and construction white card (Essential)
- Team player and willingness to learn on the job
- Punctual with a professional approach
- Safety conscious
