Our client is seeking an experienced SHEQ Advisor – Health & Safety to join their team, supporting projects and operations across the ACT.

Role Type: Permanent, full-time

Location: ACT | Hybrid – mix of office, site and WFH

Salary: Up to $130,000 package (including superannuation)

Travel: Site visits across the ACT, with travel throughout NSW as required The Opportunity

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with the SHEQ Manager, operational teams and clients to support strong safety, environmental and quality outcomes.

You’ll be responsible for conducting site inspections, supporting SHEQ initiatives, investigating incidents and working directly with operational teams and clients to drive a proactive culture of safety and continuous improvement.

The role offers a flexible working environment, combining office days, working from home and regular site visits, along with flexible start and finish times.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement Health & Safety Management Plans across the contract
- Conduct regular site inspections and accurately record findings
- Participate in HSE consultative committees and maintain solid client relationships
- Support emergency response and business continuity planning
- Monitor and report on the quality of works through audits
- Review non-conformances and drive corrective actions through to closure
- Conduct investigations into incidents and accidents,



identifying root causes and contributing factors
- Lead and manage ICAM and Serious Incident investigations
- Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement across sites and the wider business
- Work collaboratively with operational teams to achieve project Health & Safety objectives
- Undertake reasonable travel throughout NSW as required

About You

- Proven experience in a WHS, Environmental and/or Quality role
- Experience within services, maintenance or construction is preferred
- Relevant qualification in Workplace/Occupational Health & Safety, Occupational Hygiene & Health, Environmental, Quality or equivalent
- Training in Environmental and/or Quality Management Systems
- Detailed knowledge of SHEQ legislation, regulatory requirements and ISO standards within a high-risk construction environment
- Experience leading ICAM and Serious Incident investigations
- Current Driver Licence
