Site Manager – High Voltage (Substation & BESS)

We are currently partnering with a leading Australian EPC contractor delivering major BESS and substation projects across NSW. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are seeking two experienced Site Manager to lead the safe and successful delivery of high voltage construction projects.

About the role

Reporting to the NSW Construction Manager, the Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing all on site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard of quality. Projects are based across multiple locations throughout NSW. This role is well suited to candidates open to DIDO arrangements, with applicants from NSW, QLD, and VIC all encouraged to apply if location suits.

Key responsibilities

- Lead and manage site based construction activities across HV projects
- Supervise subcontractors and site personnel to ensure safe and efficient delivery
- Coordinate outages, permits, and work sequencing with utilities and stakeholders
- Maintain strong communication with Project Managers, clients, and internal teams
- Monitor project progress, costs, and site performance
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
- Lead site meetings with subcontractors and clients
- Support planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement on site

About you





- Demonstrated experience managing high voltage construction projects
- Strong understanding of transmission and substation delivery environments
- Must have NSW electrical licence
- Proven ability to lead site teams and subcontractors
- Electrical trade or relevant technical background
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail with a practical, solutions focused approach

Desirable:

- Experience working with Australian utilities or renewable energy projects
- Exposure to outage planning and HV staging
- Additional qualifications in safety or construction management

What’s on offer

- LAFHA of $293 – $300+ per day depending on project
- Overtime paid at time and a half after 9 hours
- Typical 10–11 hour working days (project dependent)
- Weekend work paid at time and a half
- 11/3 roster with a paid day off after the 11th day
