McConnell Dowell is assembling our delivery team for the recently awarded Kwinana Freeway Widening Project - one of Western Australia's most significant transport infrastructure projects.

Delivered through an Alliance model, this major infrastructure upgrade will improve capacity, connectivity and safety along one of Perth's busiest transport corridors. The project includes complex civil, structural, utilities and intelligent transport systems works, providing a unique opportunity to work across multiple disciplines while contributing to a project that will become a standout achievement on any engineer's CV. We are seeking experienced Site Engineers who thrive in complex construction environments and enjoy working closely with supervisors, subcontractors, designers and client stakeholders to safely deliver quality outcomes.

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Engineer, you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of construction activities across a diverse scope of works. You will be involved in day-to-day site operations, subcontractor management, quality assurance, cost control, programme coordination and stakeholder engagement.

This is a hands-on project delivery role suited to engineers who enjoy being in the field and solving real-world construction challenges.

We Are Interested in Engineers With Experience In:

Civil and Structural Infrastructure

- Road construction and freeway upgrades
- Piling and foundation works
- Bridge construction works
- Retaining structures and structural concrete
- Noise walls and associated civil works
- Drainage and pavement construction





Utilities

- Electrical reticulation and power services
- Communications and fibre optic networks
- Utility relocations, service coordination and new services

Electrical & Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS)

- Street lighting infrastructure
- Integration of roadside electrical infrastructure
- ITS installations, including CCTV systems
- Traffic monitoring and communications systems

What You'll Bring

- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience delivering major civil, transport, utilities or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, drawings, specifications and site-based delivery.
- Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors, stakeholders and multiple work fronts.
- Commitment to safety, quality and team-oriented project outcomes, supported by strong communication skills.
