We are seeking an experienced SMP (Structural, Mechanical & Piping) Supervisor to join our Project Delivery team at the Laverton Mill.

Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of major project works, ensuring all SMP activities are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on supervisor with a strong trade background and proven experience working within an Owner's Team or EPCM workplace on large-scale mining or processing plant projects. This position is offered as a fixed-term contract through to Project Completion, supporting a significant project delivery program at site.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day supervision of Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) construction activities.
- Oversee and monitor EPC contractor performance to ensure works are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications.
- Supervise and coordinate BTR subcontractors on site.
- Ensure compliance with site safety standards, project procedures, and quality requirements.




- Review and monitor construction progress against project schedules.
- Identify and resolve construction issues to minimise impacts on project delivery.
- Participate in inspections, testing, commissioning activities, and project handovers.
- Foster a positive safety culture and lead by example in all aspects of site operations.
- Liaise effectively with project stakeholders, contractors, engineers, and site operations personnel.

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Trade qualification in a relevant discipline (Mechanical, Boilermaker/Fabrication or related trade).
- Previous experience in an SMP Supervisor role on mining, processing plant, or major resource projects.
- Demonstrated experience working within an Owner's Team and/or EPCM environment.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel, mechanical equipment installation, piping systems, and construction methodologies.
- Proven ability to manage contractor and subcontractor performance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Sound understanding of safety management systems and quality control requirements.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and coordinate multiple work fronts.
