The Role

This is a technical SMSF role for someone who enjoys research, problem solving and translating complex superannuation rules into practical solutions. Working as part of Heffron’s Technical Services team, you will support internal teams and clients, including advisers and accountants, across a broad range of SMSF technical matters.

- Research superannuation issues and respond to legislative and regulatory changes
- Manage technical queries from advisers and accountants, including modelling SMSF strategies
- Review SMSF document instructions and help ensure high-quality client outcomes
- Prepare and review tailored SMSF technical advice and technical content
- Contribute to SMSF education products, resources and training materials
- Help raise and maintain Heffron’s technical standards across the business

What You’ll Bring

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
- A strong accounting background, ideally with at least five years’ SMSF or superannuation experience
- Strong SMSF technical knowledge, including tax and SIS compliance concepts
- The ability to research legislation, interpret technical issues and communicate practical solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor information for different audiences
- Advanced problem-solving, analytical and organisational skills
- Experience using Class Super, or the confidence to quickly learn new systems
