Job Description

As an Allied Health Assistant, working within the Women's Recovery Network- Inpatient Unit, you will provide both clinical and non-clinical support, to ensure all patients receive high-quality patient-focused care.

Your duties will include:

n

- Assist the Allied Health teams (Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics and Exercise Physiology) in the management of a diverse range of patients who require mental health care.
n
- Assist the Allied Health team in preparation for and delivery of individualised and group therapy programs.
n
- Assist the Allied Health team in research around post discharge supports within the community and supporting the team with referrals where appropriate.
n
- Work both independently and within a team structure.
n
- Perform other reasonable duties consistent with the scope of this role, as requested by the Allied Health Team/Management.

About you:

This role will suit a patient-focused individual with experience in mental health along with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to work effectively as part of a professional team setting will also be key to your success.

You will also bring (Selection Criteria):

- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
n
- Experience working in an interdisciplinary mental health team or health service industry is desirable.
n
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
n
- High standard of customer service and a team approach.
n
