A highly regarded and well-established engineering business with 90+ staff is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join their modern manufacturing facility in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.

The Role
n
You will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming CNC machines, depending on your experience, including:
n
n
- Mazak CNC Lathes, or
n
- Okuma CNC machines
n
n
Work is primarily low-volume, jobbing, high-end machining, involving:
n
n
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
n
- On-machine programming, setting, and running
n
- Producing precision components to tight tolerances
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role you will have:
n
n
- Mechanical trade qualifications
n
- Experience with Mazak CNC Lathes or Okuma machines
n
- Solid background in low-volume / jobbing work
n
- Ability to program, set, and run CNC machines independently
n
- Good verbal and written communication skills
n
- A reliable and professional approach to work
n
n
