Port Macquarie Haematology is an engaging and growing specialist practice currently supporting three Haematologists. We are seeking a proactive, reliable and personable Medical Receptionist / Administration Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing a high standard of service and is looking for a role within a professional and supportive medical setting. The position will initially be one day per week, with additional hours available to provide holiday and sick leave coverage.

Key responsibilities

- Providing professional and friendly reception services
n
- Supporting the Haematologists and practice team with day-to-day administration
n
- Welcoming and assisting patients
n
- Maintaining positive relationships with patients, doctors and hospitals
n
- Managing telephone and general reception enquiries
n
- Processing receipting and invoicing
n
- Hospital billing, including using ECLIPSE
n
- General medical administration and office duties
n
- Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times
n

- Has strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

- Has demonstrated computer skills and confidence using office applications
n
- Previous medical administration, medical reception and/or billing experience is preferred but is not essential
n
- Experience with Gentu/Genie and ECLIPSE would be an advantage, but training can be provided for the right person
