Burleigh Heads, QLD . As a key member of our administration team, you will play an essential role in creating a positive first impression and ensuring smooth operations across our practice. Your professionalism, warmth and organisational skills will directly contribute to the overall experience of our clients and the efficiency of our medical centre.
Key responsibilities
Greeting and welcoming patients and clients in a skilled and friendly manner upon arrival
Answering and directing telephone enquiries to appropriate staff members
Scheduling appointments and managing the booking system efficiently
Processing patient registrations and updating client records accurately
Handling reception desk duties including mail distribution, filing and general administrative tasks
Processing payments and managing cash or electronic transactions
Maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations at all times
Providing information to patients regarding services, procedures and centre policies
Supporting medical and administrative staff with general office duties as required
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a receptionist or similar customer-facing
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and courteous manner
Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
Proficiency with appointment scheduling systems and general office software
Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a busy environment
Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar applications
Knowledge of medical centre operations or healthcare settings is desirable but not essential
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and patient privacy
Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work casually as required
