About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Speech Pathologist to join our growing allied health team. You will support NDIS participants to improve their speech, language, communication, swallowing and social interaction skills.
This is a hybrid role involving telehealth appointments and in-person visits at participants’ homes or community locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct speech, language, communication and swallowing assessments
- Develop personalised therapy plans based on participants’ needs and NDIS goals
- Deliver evidence-based therapy to children and/or adults
- Prepare assessment reports, progress reports and therapy recommendations
- Recommend suitable communication aids and assistive technology
- Support participants with social communication and mealtime-management needs
- Collaborate with participants, families, support coordinators and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate case notes and participant records
- Deliver services in accordance with NDIS Practice Standards and organisational policies
About You
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology
- Current membership or eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working with Children Check, where required
- Current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance, if working as a contractor
- Strong communication, assessment and report-writing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your caseload effectively
- Previous NDIS or disability-sector experience is preferred but not essential
