Temporary part time opportunity to provide Speech Pathology clinical services in the Brighton Rehabilitation Unit. This service supports adult patients of all ages, who have care needs which require them to undertake intensive therapy programs to help improve general function to reach an optimum level of ability. This service assists patients with planning a discharge to a destination which meets their needs.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Exercise independent professional clinical judgement in providing Speech Pathology clinical services of a complex nature where principles, procedures, techniques or methods require expansion, adaptation or modification, without the need for direct regular clinical practice supervision.
Provide high level clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors and relevant service managers regarding service delivery, therapy aids, technology and the prioritisation and development of speech pathology clinical services
Actively contribute to service and caseload management and planning within the team.
Provide clinical practice supervision to HP3 level Speech Pathology practitioners, allied health assistants and clinical support staff, to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards
Monitor and report clinical work practices and outcomes within rehabilitation clinical service area and initiate, plan and evaluate service improvement activities across the continuum of care
