Anthony Street Fitness is seeking application for a skilled and experienced Sports Development Officer to join our team in order to take our operations to the next level.

In this role, you will be working to develop our coaching, training and instructing program, to expand our services for kids, young adults and students. We are also looking for someone to implement a specialty training program for people with various backgrounds, needs and interests.

We need you to take our best athletes and coach them into the competitors and stars of tomorrow by co-ordinating and facilitating participation and entry into sporting competitions, where our members can shine.

We need you to design and deliver sports-based mentoring sessions, build and support a team of junior coaches, help young people build confidence and coordination through structured play and athletic activities in an all inclusive and fun environment.

Your impact will be seen through the impactful promotion of personal growth through physical movement and positive engagement.

We are on the lookout for an experienced or qualified Sports Development Officer to join our energetic crew.

Key responsibilities:

· Coach, train, and instruct sportspersons by analysing their performance and developing their abilities

· Plan and direct game strategies, develop play patterns, and analyse game progress

· Motivate sportspersons and supervise practice sessions, encouraging commitment, confidence, and connection in every athlete

· Recruit players and other coaching staff, and support and mentor junior coaches to build a strong, positive team culture





· Arrange entries into sporting competitions

· Promote sports and skills development, and oversee the participation of young people in sport

· Officiate at sporting events to enforce rules, when required

· Coordinate and direct sporting activities including community outreach and program logistics and liaise with other officials to interpret and enforce rules and regulations relating to sport

· Lead and structure movement-based mentoring sessions, adapting them to individual abilities

· Track participant progress and collaborate with the wider team to refine support plans

· Foster an energetic, respectful, and safe environment for all participants.

Qualifications

· Working with the Children Check

· Fluency in foreign languages are preferred (Chinese)

· Current Driver’s Licence and access to reliable transport

· Availability for regular weekly sessions (minimum 4 days per week)

· Previous experience in youth sport, martial arts coaching, or recreational programs

· Ability to take initiative and lead a team with confidence and compassion

· Strong communication and organisational skills

· A high level of energy, positivity, and adaptability

· Passion for helping others grow through movement and mentorship

· Competence in documenting outcomes and using digital tools

Expected Salary $85K + superannuation
